There can be a number of reasons why you would want certain emails to skip Triage. In this case, the example used is having emails from your family members skip Triage.
Having certain emails skip Triage, although not recommended, is certainly possible. You can do this by creating a label/folder in your email provider and then setting up a rule for those emails to skip your inbox and go directly to that label or folder.
