Karbon Storage serves as the central hub for all files associated with your work items and contacts. This guide will walk you through how to upload, organize, and manage files within Karbon, ensuring easy access and an efficient workflow.
Access Karbon Storage
To access Karbon Storage, simply navigate to the Documents tab within a work item or contact. All related files will be stored here for easy management.
Upload Documents
There are two simple ways to upload files into Karbon Storage:
Click the Upload button to select files directly from your computer.
Drag and drop files into the Documents tab to add them quickly.
Download Documents
You can download files from Karbon Storage in one of three ways:
Click the Download button in the options menu beside a file.
Select the Download All button at the top of the document table to download everything at once.
Select specific files, then click the Download button to save them to your computer.
Archive Files
To archive a file, click the Options menu next to it or use the Archive button at the top of the table. Or select multiple files and archive the files in bulk.
Note: Archived files cannot be downloaded, renamed, or copied. To restore an archived file, select the file and click the Restore button.
Rename Files
To rename a file, click the Options menu next to the file and select Rename. Enter the new name and save your changes.
Auto-Collect Documents on Work Items
Karbon Storage automatically collects all documents related to a work item, including:
Completed eSignature and Approval requests
Client requests
Attachments from the work timeline
Internal and external comments
Copy Files Using an Integrated Document Management System
If your account is connected to an integrated document management system, you can copy files directly from Karbon Storage to your respective system.
If you have a connected Document Management System you can manually copy files into connected folders via the 'copy' button.
The copy attachment wizard will open up in the connected folder on the work item. Once there you can copy the files and they will show up inside the folder inside your Document Management System.
