A Client Team typically consists of a Client Owner, Client Manager and Other Colleagues. Two additional custom fields for the Client Team are available to be added as well.

Define Custom Client Team Fields

The custom fields available in the Client Team area on Contacts add a layer of filtering for the Work view in Karbon.

Add titles to Custom Fields

  1. Go to Settings > Contact Settings

  2. Click the Edit link for the Client Team section

  3. Update unique titles to fields labeled “Position”

  4. Click the Save button

  • If names are not assigned to the custom fields:

    • They will not appear in the Client Team section on the Contact

    • They will not appear on the Filter options for the Work view

Assign Custom Fields on Contacts

You can manage Colleagues assigned to custom client team fields on the Details tab of the Contact. From the Details tab of the contact's profile, you will see a section for the client team. Clicking edit will allow you to update the custom fields created in the section above.

Add names to a custom field on a Contact

  1. Go to the Details tab

  2. Click the Edit link for the Client Team section

  3. Update the custom fields by typing a name

  4. Exit the view

These fields are most useful for when you want to filter work items on the Work view by Client Manager, Client Owner, or other individuals assigned to the custom field names on Contacts. This will then show all work items for clients that are managed or owned by the staff member(s) you identify.

  • When fields are not populated on the Contact:

    • They will not appear in the Client Team section

    • They will not appear on the Work view when a filter is used

  • The search function will only populate with colleagues that are active in Karbon
