How to Manage Multiple Accounts in Karbon for Clients

Learn how to manage multiple personal and business accounts within Karbon for Clients using one easy login.

Why Use One Karbon for Clients Account?

Karbon for Clients lets you handle all your interactions with your accounting firm—both personal and business—in one convenient place. You don’t need multiple logins, even if your entities use different email addresses.

Setting Up Your Karbon Account with Multiple Invitations

Step 1: Setting Up Your First Invitation

  • Open your first invitation from your accountant.

  • Click Accept Invitation.

  • Create your Karbon for Clients login with your preferred email and password.

  • Follow any prompts for multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Step 2: Adding Additional Invitations

When receiving further invitations:

  • Click Accept Invitation in the invitation email.

  • Choose Use existing account when asked.

  • Log in using your existing Karbon for Clients credentials to link this new invitation to your current account.

Please note: Your login email doesn’t have to match invitation emails.

How to Switch Between Your Entities

Easily manage your entities from a single login:

Desktop:

  1. Log in to Karbon for Clients.

  2. Click on your current entity’s name below the firm’s logo in the left sidebar.

  3. Choose the entity you’d like to access.

Mobile:

  1. Log in to the Karbon for Clients app.

  2. Tap the current entity name at the top-right corner.

  3. Select the entity you wish to manage.

Switching Between Multiple Accounting Firms (if applicable)

If you work with multiple accounting firms:

Desktop:

  1. Click your profile initials in the top-right corner.

  2. Select the currently displayed firm’s name.

  3. Choose the firm you want to switch to.

  4. Click Update.

Mobile:

  1. Tap the hamburger menu (top-left corner).

  2. Tap your firm’s name.

  3. Select the firm you want to switch to and confirm.

Can I connect invitations sent to different email addresses?

Yes. Karbon allows linking invitations sent to different email addresses under a single login.

Will using one login mix my accounts?

No. Each entity remains separate, clearly organized under your single login.

Can I have different permission levels for my entities?

Yes. Permissions can vary per entity, such as full access to your personal account but limited access to a business.
