Integrating HubSpot with Karbon streamlines your workflow by syncing essential data like Companies, Contacts, and Custom Fields. However, there may be times when you need to pause or deactivate the integration for various reasons such as maintenance, troubleshooting, or updating sync configurations. This guide walks you through the process of managing your HubSpot integration by pausing or deactivating it.
Pausing the Integration
Pausing the integration temporarily suspends all syncing activity between HubSpot and Karbon, while retaining your configuration settings. This can be useful when you need to stop syncing without losing your current setup.
To Pause the HubSpot Integration:
Navigate to Settings: In Karbon, go to Settings > Connected Apps.
Locate HubSpot Integration: Find HubSpot in the list of connected integrations.
Pause the Integration:
Select the HubSpot integration.
Click the "..." menu next to the Reconfigure button.
From the dropdown, select Pause Integration.
Confirm Pause: You’ll be asked to confirm that you want to pause the integration. Once confirmed, syncing will be suspended, but the configuration settings remain intact.
What Happens When Paused:
All syncing activities between HubSpot and Karbon stop.
Your current configuration is preserved, so when you unpause, syncing resumes with the same settings.
No new data will be synced from HubSpot to Karbon, and vice versa.
Unpausing the Integration: To resume syncing, simply go back to the "..." menu and select Unpause Integration. The integration will continue syncing as per the existing settings.
Deactivating the Integration
Deactivating the integration permanently disconnects HubSpot from Karbon, and all configurations will be deleted. This action cannot be undone, so be sure before proceeding.
To Deactivate the HubSpot Integration:
Go to Settings: Navigate to Settings > Connected Apps.
Find HubSpot Integration: Locate HubSpot in the list of connected integrations.
Deactivate the Integration:
Select HubSpot in the list.
Click the "..." menu next to the Reconfigure button.
From the dropdown, select Deactivate Integration.
Confirm Deactivation: You will be prompted to confirm your choice. Once confirmed, all syncing activities will stop and the integration will be fully disconnected.
What Happens When Deactivated:
The HubSpot-Karbon connection is broken, and all syncing between the two platforms ceases.
Your data in Karbon will remain intact, but no future updates from HubSpot will be synchronized unless you reconnect.
All configuration settings are deleted, and you will need to set up the integration again if you decide to reconnect in the future.
When to Pause or Deactivate
Pausing the Integration:
During troubleshooting or temporary issues, such as when you're investigating a sync error.
If you need to make updates to your HubSpot or Karbon configuration and want to ensure no data is synced during that time.
If you're making major changes to your workflow and need to stop syncing without losing the connection.
Deactivating the Integration:
If you no longer wish to sync HubSpot with Karbon.
If you are switching to a different CRM or have decided the integration is no longer needed.
If you want to permanently stop syncing data and no longer wish to have any connection between the platforms.
