Contact segmentation in Karbon enables you to organize and manage client relationships with greater efficiency. By creating and saving custom views of your contact lists, you can tailor your workflows to better suit your firm’s unique needs.

Contact segmentation allows you to filter and organize contacts based on specific criteria, making it easier to manage relationships and perform bulk actions like generating work items or exporting lists.

  • Customizable Filters: Sort contacts by client type, location, or roles like Client Owner and Manager.

  • Service Type Segmentation: Align contacts with your firm’s services by filtering based on service types.

How to Set Up and Use Segments

  1. Access Contact Segments:

    • Go to the Contacts tab in Karbon and select the Segments option.

  2. Create a New Segment:

    • Click Create Segment and define filters based on your desired criteria.

    • Example filters include:

      • Client Type: Identify active clients or prospects.

      • Service Types: Group contacts based on services like "Tax Services" or "Bookkeeping."

      • Client Owner/Manager: Focus on clients managed by specific team members.

  3. Save Your Segment:

    • After applying filters, save the segment for quick future access.

  4. Perform Bulk Actions:

    • Export filtered lists for CRM or marketing purposes.

    • Generate work items directly from segmented contact lists.

Advanced Filtering Options

  • Multiple Selection Dropdowns: Select multiple criteria for more refined segments.

  • Search by Text: Quickly find contacts using keywords.

  • Date & Numerical Filters: Filter by date ranges or specific numbers for fields like billing details.

  • Boolean Fields: Include true/false criteria for precise results.
