Managing your firm's PTO (Paid Time Off) within Karbon helps with accurate capacity planning and KPI tracking. Follow these detailed steps to set it up:

  1. Create an Internal Contact: The first step is for users to create internal contacts within Karbon for their firm.

    • Navigate to the Contacts section in Karbon.

    • Click on "Add Contact" and enter your firm’s details as an internal contact.

  2. Set Up Work Items for PTO: Once internal contacts are set up, users should proceed to create work items specifically designated for PTO, including vacations, holidays, sick days, and other forms of leave. These work items are assigned to the internal contact representing the firm.

    • Go to the Work section and create new work items for each type of PTO

    • Assign these work items to the internal contact you created.

  3. Log Employee PTO: Employees then utilize Karbon to track their PTO against the corresponding work items created earlier. By associating their time off directly with the designated PTO work item, employees ensure accurate recording and streamlined processing.

  4. Monitor and Report:

    • Use Karbon's reporting tools to monitor logged PTO and assess capacity planning.

    • Track these work items to analyze and optimize resource allocation and KPI performance.

This structured approach ensures your firm can accurately manage PTO, leading to better forecasting and operational efficiency.
